  1. Make sure the engine is turned off and the headlights are not hot.
  2. Open the hood of your Chevy Traverse and locate the back of the headlight assembly.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb by gently pressing the release tab and pulling it away.
  4. Remove the rubber dust cover by twisting it counterclockwise.
  5. Unclip the metal retaining clip that holds the bulb in place.
  6. Carefully remove the old bulb from the socket and discard it.
  7. Insert the new bulb into the socket, being careful not to touch the glass part with your bare hands as it can cause premature failure.
  8. Reattach the metal retaining clip to secure the bulb in place.
  9. Replace the rubber dust cover by twisting it clockwise.
  10. Reconnect the electrical connector to the bulb.
  11. Repeat the steps for the other headlight bulb if necessary.
  12. Close the hood and test the new bulbs to ensure they are functioning properly.
